Hayes Griffin is a multi-instrumentalist and music educator based in Columbus, Ohio. He's spent over a decade playing music for a living, including time on the road with Canadian fiddler April Verch and progressive bluegrass band Newtown, whose album Harlan Road featured his guitar work and landed in the Top 10 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts. In 2024, he took 2nd place at the National Flatpicking Championship.

Hayes got his start teaching online in 2020 with a series on Tiny Moore's electric mandolin playing, and later through his work with Mandolin Secrets. These days he teaches guitarists of all levels through free weekly YouTube lessons, private instruction, and his online learning platform, Guitar Club, where things like music theory, crosspicking, Western Swing phrasing, and even a little mindfulness practice all show up in the curriculum.

At the end of the day, Hayes just likes helping people get a little better at guitar and have a little more fun doing it.
